*A REVELATOR WHITE BLONDE MID 1950'S STYLE S~CASTER
SOLD!
Never have I played a solid body guitar that was more resonant and toneful before it was plugged in. This 1 piece, 6.5 pound, Swamp Ash, 1957' era WHITE BLONDE VINTAGE'D S~TYPE turned out even more excellent than I could have hoped. This puppie's body, by itself, weighs 3.28 lbs. and resonates like an acoutic guitar while unplugged. The board’s edges were rolled, headstock back and heel softened and Gomez’d. It’s a one piece Maple neck with some really nice flame and a middle “C” back profile. The frets are vintage and the radius 7.25”. The frets are dressed, polished, & fast. It feels a lot like the 58 Telecaster I learned on. The nut is hand cut and aged. The 1957 era logo has been subtly tinted. The reissue Kluson style tuners have been carefully aged over time. Their tight and true. The board was finished in my shop deep in the Pine Barrens of south Jersey in my own super high solids furniture grade nitro lacquer and hand rubbed to be fast & smooth. This little honey’s finish is my own hand mixed Revelator White Blonde not found in a rattle can. It’s been shot ultra-thin as usual & then subtly aged. The white burst effect is true to that of an early Fender Mary Kay Stratocaster. Every piece of hardware, every screw, & knob, without exception, has been meticulously, gently & slowly aged to look authentic yet perform as new. For the engine I chose a set of Fender Custom Shop Texas Specials because I'm a huge Jimmie Vaughan fan from WAY back. I love his pure, true, simple Fender tone and these nail it. Internally it’s fresh and strong so it’s the best of both world’s. It features a CRL 5 position switch & pots, and a switch-craft jack. The vintage USA Fender big block tremolo bridge gives it plenty of sweet sustain. The tremolo arm is off for most of the pics. but is perfectly adjusted and included. As for feel, sound, and performance, I’ve had this killer around my house for a long time tryin to rationalize a good reason not to sell it. After a customer asked me how many guitars I had I was making a list for him and.. it just got silly. TONE for days is the best way to describe the sound. Every position sounds like, well,…a vintage Strat. Serious twang in the bridge, great middle and the neck is the coup de gras. The feel is fast, light, soft and slippery. The neck is almost as heavy as the body giving it a really sweet balance. The pictures should say the rest. Big love to all,…Mighty
